The quintessential photo Eiffel Tower photo. Last Bastille day, we watched the fireworks show from the flat-surfaced fountain you see in the foreground. It's like a tilted pancake that has the water running over it. I'm not sure what its supposed to represent, but its lovely for bathing ones tired feet on a hot July night.
Dinner among friends to welcome me back. We had roast duck and chocolate cake. Yay!
Once a year, they open up the museums and ministries and goverment buildings for the public to visit. This is inside the beautiful wedding cake-like Opéra Garnier.
This is from the balconey of l'Opéra. Someday I'll go there to see a ballet or opera, but this day I was happy enough to see the view of Paris in the sunshine.
